Board rules

This page is designed to explain your responsibilities as a member of our forum. By following these rules, we ensure that our board runs smoothly and without problems. If you have any question regarding these rules, do not hesitate to contact a staff member with your question.

  1. General Rules

    1. Please do not attack other GTA IV EPS Clan Members. We ask that you be tolerant, understanding and respectful of other people's point of view, and that if you strongly disagree with, and/or are upset by some ones comments, that you simply respond to them by stating your point of view. Should you attempt to criticize and/or ridicule others for their beliefs and/or opinions, you may be subject to disciplinary procedures. Under special circumstances, we also reserve the right to issue immediate bans. Some of these circumstances involve, but are not limited to, racial and homophobic behavior, and hateful or threatening remarks.
If you are subject to, or witness, behavior that is in violation of this rule, we ask that you immediately report the post using the built in forum software.
    2. Please note that due to the social nature of the chat room, its content may not always be suitable for those that are either under the age of 16, or of a socially reserved nature. In addition to this, for bandwidth preservation purposes, we ask that you not abuse the ability to post images. In cases where images interfere with the normal operations of this forum, we also reserve the right to remove them without notice.
    3. Please do not post requests for copyrighted material on the forum. This extends beyond full episode downloads, and encompasses unaired script details, short clips and musical accompaniments. We also reserve the right to check the content of Private Messages in cases where copyright holders suspect that their rights have been infringed, as we’re still liable should the relative copyright owner wish to pursue legal action.
If you witness behavior that is in violation of this rule, we ask that you immediately report the post using the built in forum software.
    4. Please do not encourage or engage in illegal activities on the board. This extends from requesting tips on burning copyrighted DVD’s, to asking how to commit murder.
If you witness behavior that is in violation of this rule, we ask that you immediately report the post using the built in forum software.
    5. Please do NOT post multiple threads and/or posts with the exact same content, or a derivative thereof. We also ask that you refrain from posts such as “me too” when replying to a post created by another member as it adds nothing to the discussion. Please remember, we don’t care about your post count, and neither should you.
If you witness posts such as these, we ask that you immediately report the post using the built in forum software.
    6. We don’t allow multiple accounts under any circumstances. If you pick a name, and are unhappy with it, please contact either April Curtis or myself with the new name request. If it is unavailable, we will let you know. Please keep in mind that whilst we’ll be happy to do this once or twice during the lifetime of your account, we will not do it every other day and/or week.
If you suspect that a member is using multiple accounts, we ask that you immediately contact either April Curtis or myself using the Private Messaging system.
    7. For bandwidth preservation purposes, we don’t allow images to be placed in signatures. Should we discover any, we will immediately remove them, and leave a link to the image in its place. In addition to this, we don’t allow attempts to create commercial gains by placing compensatory links in signatures. We don't make money from the forum, and neither should you.
If you see a member who is making a monetary gain from his signature, we ask that you immediately contact either April Curtis or myself using the Private Messaging system.
    8. Please do not spam our forums. If we believe that a member is spamming our forums, we will ban them immediately. We have ZERO tolerance for spam!
If you see a member who is spamming our forum, we ask that you immediately report the post(s) using the built in forum software.
    9. By becoming a member here, you agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening and/or sexually orientated material. We deem engaging in behavior of this kind to be a banable offense.
If you see a member who has posted any such content on our forum, we ask that you immediately report the post(s) using the built in forum software.
    10. We are aware that not everybody is a native English speaker, but this is an English speaking community, so please only use English. If posting a phrase, or something similar, in a different language, you must provide a translation into English.
  2. Guidelines

    1. Please take note of the forum descriptions before you post. We also ask that you not post the same topic in multiple forums, as this in violation of our Meaningless Thread rule, and can also be considered spamming.

    6. Please remember, we reserve the right to edit, delete or move any post on the forum without notification. We also reserve the right to ban any user at any time for any reason. We also ask you to remember that all posts on the forum are the opinion of the author, and not that of the forum Administrators.

    3. Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban or other moderator action will lead to a permanent ban of your account(s). Circumvention includes re-registering or using an already registered account under a non-banned username. Other examples include changing IP addresses, using a new email account or other action that can be taken to evade moderator action to hide your identity as the owner of the sanctioned account.
    4. An exception to the three strike rule applies when users contact team members personally (via any method) and post insulting, indecent or vulgar material. Such users may be subject to an immediate permanent ban.
    5. Permanent bans are a last resort and thought is given before implementing them, though some bans may be open for Appeal. If this is the case, follow the Support link in the Ban Reason, and submit a Support Ticket. If the ban is not open for appeal, it will be unlikely that the ban will be released.
